I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

Thanks so much for the comment. You’re in good company with your feelings about Christoph’ trilogy

  1. Sounds fascinating. Lovely review, Olga. Hugs to you and Christoph both.
    Cupcakes — wonderful. Romance — scary! 😀

Thanks for the comment. Oh, I’m hoping to put a smile in people’s heart with my romance rather than anything heavy. I suspect the baking might be heavier than the romance….

  2. Since history is one of my favourite genres you’ve waved temptation before my eyes with this review Olga.

Thanks David. I was amazed by how much I felt in the heart of the action and a period that I had read about but not from this perspective…

  3. Good morning, Olga…and thank you for this. I will order this book…Janet:)

Thanks Janet. I’d been thinking about reading the trilogy for a while and finally managed to make time for one of the books to start with and I’m very pleased I did. Not your average read, for sure. I hope you enjoy it.

  4. Forget the wish list – the price of Kindle app editions are so enticing that I’ve just bought Sebastian and book 1 in the trilogy!

Thanks Sarah! I’m sure Christoph will be very happy. Sorry to not have commented before but I didn’t have a good connection (once again). I’d had all of Christoph’s novels on my list to read and when it came to choosing the medical aspect at the beginning of Sebastian intrigued me. I also saw in the description that the books could be read independently and I found it was so. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as I know you’re fascinated by historical subjects…

  5. Thank you Olga. It’s such a great feeling when someone like’s your book, and so much more when someone sees in it what you hope readers would. The review made my day. Thank you so much! 🙂

Thanks Christopher. Sorry, I was travelling and got a bit stuck for lack of connection but hope people enjoyed the post. I loved the novel.
