I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  1. I have just received my Free copy from Amazon, Olga. It was downloaded instantly to my Kindle for PC. An offer too good to miss, although I have no idea when I will get the chance to read it, I could hardly turn that down My thanks to Estrella for her generosity, and to you for your review. I will be sharing this great offer on Twitter and Google+.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Thanks so much, Pete. I remember the first time I got my Kindle and realised it had automatically uploaded the books on my PC it felt like magic. I’m sure Estrella will be very pleased as it’s a very heartfelt story. As it’s written in letters works very well to be read in small chunks too. Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a fabulous weekend.

  2. What a great way to celebrate. Thanks for letting us know, Olga. Wishing Estrella huge success.
I admit it takes me a while to settle in with the style and pace of an epistolary novel. However, this one sounds very compelling. I know your translation was mindful. I’ve no doubt you put much more into the work than simply translating each word. Happy weekend hugs!

    1. Thanks, Teagan. I must say the personality of the writers really does come true. It’s beautifully constructed. Have a lovely weekend.

  3. I took a peek at the preview on Amazon. Sounds exciting and interesting. Though free, I did not download because it’s not fair to take a copy and who knows when I’ll read it. Great translation, Olga. 🙂

    1. Thanks, Tess. Very kind of you. I can’t resist sometimes, always with the best of intentions (it might always push the book and the writer up the ratings too, but I’m no longer convinced that’s very useful). But it’s a very inspiring book.

        1. You’re right! Enjoy your Sunday!

Thanks so much Olga. I know my reader is bursting at the seams, but I am curious to read this book and genre so I’m going to download and save for a holiday read. 🙂

    1. Thanks, Debby. I’m sure Estrella will be very pleased. It’s a short but intense read. I hope you enjoy it. 🙂

        1. Thanks, Debby. I think I’ve given up on trying to put any order on my reading list. It’s all bets off now!
