I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  1. An unusual subject indeed, bringing together LGBT issues, and the plight of an indigenous people. You are not alone in knowing little about the Sami. With their herds of animals, and colourful traditional dress, they appear to have become little more than a nice photo opportunity on some tourist information. No doubt there are parallels with Native Americans in the US, and the situation for the Sami in Russia too.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Thanks, Pete. You’re right. Reading the author’s comments it seems he was very well received when he went to visit for research (not something they are so used to). The author always writes about topics that make one think. Have a good Thursday.

  2. Thanks for this review, Olga. Congratulations and best of luck to Hans! Hugs all around.

    1. Thanks, Teagan. Another great one from the author! Have a good Thursday!

    1. Don’t tell me. I think I’ve added three or four only today.

  3. It started out sounding like a niche book, but I think it should have wider appeal. Thanks for another good review, Olga.
