I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. 1. Hi Olga… so great top “see” Teagan featured here… She is a great writer: I agree with you… and I have always felt she has a wonderful ability when it comes to depict characters…. almost from a pscychological point of view… Great post. Wishing you a beautiful week, dear Olga! 😀

    1. Thanks very much. She is and you’re right about her psychological insights. And she has a wonderful imagination. Many thanks!

      1. That really means a lot coming from you, Olga. Huge hugs.

        1. Thanks, Teagan. It is a bit mysterious why all your comments on this post went to spam. Weird!

    2. Dear Aquileana, you are so kind. What you said means a lot to me. From the time I was ten years old I told my parents I wanted to be a psychiatrist. Of course they laughed — my alternate career was helicopter pilot. 😀 The ambition persisted, but I “psychologist” seemed more attainable. I started a bachelor’s degree with that major, finished most of the psychology classes, but not the “core” classes… and that’s where it stopped. However your words make me feel it wasn’t truly a waste if it helped me portray characters. Thanks so much for commenting. Huge hugs.

  2. Thank you so much, Olga. I’m flattered, honored, gobsmacked, and everything in between. 🙂
I will reblog this tomorrow. Wow! My Monday has been great! Hugs.

    1. Truly deserved and the honor is all mine. It is good to help somebody have a good Monday. It can be a bit of a challenge. Looking forward to your new serial!

    1. You’re very kind, David and right about Teagan! Have a lovely week!

    1. Thanks, Christoph. I have not only the pleasure of reviewing Teagan’s book but of having a fabulous selection of people leaving comments. My favourites too. Big hugs and love to all the family!

    2. You are so generous with your comments Christoph. LOL, multi-directional hugs back.

  5. How lovely to find this review of Teagan’s book here, Olga. I follow her delightful blog and must definitely get her books.

    1. Do, Robbie. You will be enchanted and won’t need to worry about graphic content. Have a great day!

      1. Oh, that’s a good point, Olga. Robbie, I try to make my stories “for grownups” but I don’t go to extremes with sex, violence, or language. I mostly leave any religion or politics out of the picture too (unless it’s something I’ve made up for a fantasy story).

    2. Dear Robbie. Thanks so much. (I hope I’ve finally fixed my comments problem… no thanks to Word Press. We’ll see when I hit “Post Comment.”) Hugs.

    1. Thanks, Sally. A great book and a very engaging way of getting all the readers of her blog involved. 🙂

        1. It is always nice to be surrounded by talented friends 🙂

  6. I remember parts of this from Teagan’s blog, and I enjoyed it immensely. Such a refreshingly original idea, in a literary universe so full of similar themes. This stands out indeed, and I wish Teagan every success with it. She is such a nice friendly person, and a really committed blogger too.
Best wishes to you both. Pete.

    1. Thanks, Pete. Yes, it is a great idea and her imagination and skill are close to none. She has started a new serial recently, so you might want to check it out and become one of the fairies…

    2. Pete, thank you so much! I didn’t realize you were keeping up with the serials. I’m pos-i-lutely tickled that you enjoyed it. Your wonderful comment has turned around a difficult “hump day”. (A week of tech problems with WordPress…)
I’ve just started a new serial. Although it’s not a “three things” story, it’s still all out “pantsering”. This time I’m promoting others by revealing a link to the Mystery Folks who gave names to characters.
      Great big hug!

      1. Thanks, Teagan. Good luck with the book, I’m rooting for you! 🙂

    1. Oh, yes. The period and the style, of course. And Teagan has a knack for finding the most amazing images for her blog too. Have a great day, Sarah!

    2. Hi Sarah. I remember you were there for the third serial. So I hope you’d enjoy this one that started it all. Wishing you a Wednesday full of wonder. Hugs.

  7. Great review, Olga. Congratulations, Teagan on this review by Olga. Lovely. 🙂 — Suzanne

    1. Thanks, Suzanne. Well deserved. 🙂

    2. Suzanne I haven’t stopped blushing from this review. I’m so honored. Huge hugs.

  8. Wonderful seeing Teagan here! I haven’t read this book yet, but I’m a fan of Atonement, Tennessee – still hoping Lilith the cat gets her own book.

    1. An excellent suggestion. I keep pestering Teagan to keep working on Atonement in Bloom and I like your idea. Thanks, Teri! 😉

    2. LOL, Teri I’ve been making excuses for the delay of Atonement in Bloom that I’m embarrassed to even mention it. 😀 If only work didn’t drain both energy and creativity…. Anyhow my point is that Lilith (due to popular demand) has a larger and exciting part in book 2. =^-^=
The serials were something that I could easily pull from my blog (well, fairly easily). Since I’ve been a technical (information technology) for decades, the formatting and editing was actually soothing to me. I hope to “bookize” the second serial soon. I was almost finished… then my cat (and she’s all I have left) got sick. Thankfully Crystal is doing great (for now at least, it was cancer). Now if I could say the same about work…
      Huge hugs!

  9. A lovely review and promotion of both Teagan herself and her book!

    1. Thanks, John. It was long due but the book and I were separated by postal circumstances, although it made me appreciate it all the more. Thanks for the comment. 🙂

    2. Thank you kindly, John. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

  10. ‘Adventurous and playful spirit’ –– check! Lovely review, Olga. Teagan is very creative and imaginative, so the fantasy genre suits her well. Her stories are magical and very entertaining. I have no doubt that I would like this book. It’s on my TBR list. Thank you!

    1. Thanks, Vashti. A fun book that keeps moving at a fast pace. And it’s all the more amazing considering how it came to be. Teagan’s stories always take us to wondrous places and times. I know you also have a great imagination so you might enjoy playing the game and seeing where you’d go with the objects.
      Have a lovely week!

    2. Hi Vashti. Thank you so much! And thanks again for the wonderful feature you just did on me. You’re amazing! Hugs.

  11. Olga this is such a great review, so happy to see Teagan here. She is a creative force that not just entertains but her writing feeds the soul. Lovely feature!!

    1. Thanks so much. I know you’ve featured often in Teagan’s blog (especially when food became a fundamental feature of the story). She more than deserves the review. Thanks for commenting and I hope you have a most delicious week. 🙂

    2. Suzanne, my heartfelt thanks for this lovely comment and for all your unfailing support. Yes, Olga’s review took my breath away! Mega hugs.

  12. How absolutely beautiful it is to see this great review for the serial story! Teagan is a talented storyteller so the good review doesn’t surprise me! Thank you Olga for spotlighting her so well here <3

    1. Thanks, Christy. She deserves it and more. Thanks for your comment. 🙂

    2. Thanks Christy. Olga has such fantastic writing talent of her own, all on top of her other talents and wonderfully insightful reviews. I’m honored beyond words. My heartfelt thanks for the feature you did today including this review. Endless virtual hugs to you and to Olga. Happy weekend!

    3. And thanks for including the review in your weekly roundup.Teagan’s book deserves it and it’s a great honour to have the post among such a great selection. All the best!

  13. Kev says:

This is an absolutely fabulous review, Olga. I completely agree with the highlights of Teagan’s talents. I love her blog and her writing style. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Thanks, Kev. Sorry, WordPress had hidden your comment under spam. Yes, she deserves all the praise and I’m loving her new series too. 🙂

  14. […] I have great news! One of my favourite authors and bloggers has just published her new book! Teagan Geneviene has the most amazing blog, where she writes serials including elements contributed by her readers. After much insistence, she has started to collect all this posts and is publishing these fantastic serials to the public at large, so they can read them all in one go. But I’ll let her explain it all. Oh, and if you want to read my review of her previous serial, you can find it here. […]

  15. A lovely review which captures the very essence of the Teagan we know and love ….

    1. Thanks so much, Carol. Teagan never ceases to amaze me. Have a great week!

Don't be shy! Tell me something!
