I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I’m a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I’m a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I’ve always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often.

  1. I like the concept of the chance encounter. And the misunderstanding gives a lot of scope that might not have otherwise existed. I am already thinking film adaptation!
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Thanks, Pete. The best thing about this book is that most people will probably think they know what’s going to happen, but they’ll be wrong. And the characters, especially Ben, are lovely. Believe me, when Ben is trying to cycle from London to Glasgow would make for a very funny movie. 😉

  2. You’ve given us an intriguing write-up. The cover is quite clever — I like it. Thanks for another mindful review. Have a terrific Tuesday. Hugs.

    1. Thanks, Teagan. I must admit it made me intrigued about the author’s previous book. Have a great Tuesday!

Love the sound of this book, Olga. While looking on Amazon I realised I’ve already read his earlier book, Lost & Found, which I enjoyed.

    1. Thanks, Wendy. I haven’t, but now I’m quite curious about it. Reading his acknowledgments at the end, it seems he went through a hard period between the two books. I hope it goes well for him.

  4. Sounds interesting, Olga. I like quirky characters and the blend of comedic, sad, and heartwarming moments. Thanks for the recommendation 🙂

    1. Thanks, Diana. I read many thrillers and it was a good break to read something more gentle. I hope you enjoy it if you get to read it!

Great review Olga. Just one more I’ll look into. It seems you and I have the same taste in books – dangerous! Lol 🙂 xx

    1. Oh, it’s never ending. Rosie Amber shared new books she’d received and there are 3 or 4 I want to read, two in series I’ve already started. There’s no hope!

Nope, it seems futile to think we’ll ever whittle down our lists, lol. 🙂

        1. I guess we’ll have to make peace with that fact. 😉

That book cover is annoying me, and I really don’t know why… Lol. *shrugs* Who knows!

Thanks for stopping by @ Dora Reads

    1. Sorry. Not mine, I’ve just read it and enjoyed it. In e-readers covers are not much of a problem anyway. All the best.

  7. Another very intriguing review, Olga. This sounds like a book I will really enjoy.

    1. I think you would, Robbie. Thanks very much and have a great weekend.

Don't be shy! Tell me something!
