I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

I’m enjoying your reviews Olga, but patiently waiting for your next reviews on books that aren’t horror, LOL <3

    1. I’m sure you’ve plenty to catch up with after your holiday. Mind you, apart from yesterday’s and another one by this author, the rest have not been horror, although some of the thrillers can be a bit out there sometimes. The story I mention on Pete’s blog is not horror, though, and interesting from a writer’s perspective, if you want to check it out. Oh, and I have finished a book I expect to review for next week, that is definitely not horror. Very rock & roll Thanks, Debby! Oh, and thanks for your fabulous review of my non-fiction book!

Thanks for the info Olga, and my pleasure to share your review. I must finish the review draft of Deadly Quotes too and I will also be sharing that on a Sunday review <3

        1. Thanks so much, Debby. I’m intrgued! You’ve sure been busy while you were away! I have a few non-fiction books I want to review as well and I hope to get to soon. Not sure you want even more books, but they are so beautiful I think they’d be great presents as well (I always love giving books as gifts as well). ♥

I don’t know why, but I am always busy Olga. But I love to read. I’d need a few more long vacations to even put a dent in my Kindle LOL 🙂 And I too tend to give books for gifts. <3

          2. How odd. Your other comments went through and I found this in the Spam folder. I know what you mean about the holidays, though. I read an article a while back about a man who took a one-year Sabbatical to read. Yes, I am sure he did other things as well, but that was his main goal. And I totally understood him. It sounds like a great plan, especially if we could throw a bit of travelling in, although I think I’d need more than one year…;)

Lol, I know I would too, but I’d be thrilled for the year! <3

          4. Oh yes! ♥

  2. This sounds rather interesting and different, Olga. Great review.

    1. I’m becoming quickly addicted to John Leonard’s stories, Robbie. He delivers every time. Have a great week!

    1. Thanks, Rosie. Another great author I’ve discovered thanks to your review group. I hope everything is OK. Thanks for all your hard work. ♥

  3. I have chosen to read and review this one too, Olga, so looking forward to getting to it. Great review.

    1. Thanks, Georgia. Short but with plenty of punch. And particularly pertinent for writers. I guess we’ve all wondered… I hope you enjoy it as well!

  4. Not for me, Olga. It’s a great review but I’m too much of a wuss to read horror 🙂

    1. I love horror, Mary. It cannot compare to what happens in real life. That is the real horror for me. But perhaps I’m just weird. Even when I was young and I would get really scared, I enjoyed being scared. All the best. 🙂

  5. I already have Call Drops on my Amazon Wish List, so this may be added too.
    Thanks, Olga.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. As I had told you, Pete, it reminded me of your story straight away, although the details are different, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as well. He is a fabulous writer. 🙂

  6. Dear Olga, I’m sorry that I’ve missed so many of your posts. It’s astonishing how time flies when I feel stuck in limbo.
Thanks for this mindful review. The title grabs me and the cover is suitably creepy! LOL.
    Great big hug.

    1. Thanks, Teagan. Don’t worry. You have far more important things on your plate.
I hope everything is well with you. I think you’d enjoy this one.
      All the best.
