I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  1. I smiled at your comment that modern soaps and spy novels can’t hold a candle to this! Definitely a time of intrigue

    1. They make most screenwriters look like amateurs, don’t they? It must have been really tricky just to keep your head on your shoulders, things changed so quickly! Have a fantastic week, Rosie!

  2. It was indeed a complex period of our history, and it’s sometimes hard to grapple with the intricacies of the families fighting for control of England at the time. I always knew her family name as Woodville, though other spellings are common.
I have no doubt that we can trust Pen and Sword to deliver an accurate and interesting account.
    Thanks, Olga.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Thanks, Pete. It is a complex period. There are several pages dedicated to the surname alone, Pete, so I won’t try to summarise his reasoning. Have a great week!

It’s not a book for casual reading, Debby. Have a great week!

  4. Ah, Olga, you are tempting me again. This sounds like a great book.

    1. Thanks, Robbie. It is not a standard biography and it is very detailed, but I know you love to do research. Check a sample out and see how you feel about it. Enjoy the weekend!
