I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  1. It sounds like a deeply rewarding read. And emotional, too.

Thanks, Priscilla. It is, indeed. Enjoy the rest of the week!

  2. I’m interested in the history of the Cape, since I visited two years ago and your review is a great recommendation.
    Thank you

Thanks, Marie. I hope you enjoy it. It’s a hard book, but fascinating. Thanks for commenting.

  3. A most interesting read, Olga. The history of mankind generally is pretty awful. Greed has always ruled the day and that still seems to be the case even during this COVID-19 crisis.

You’re absolutely right, Robbie. Some things don’t change. A fascinating book. Keep safe.

  4. It’s such an intriguing setting. Thanks for another mindful review, Olga. Be well, be happy, my friend. Hugs!

    1. Thanks, Teagan. I’m experiencing a bit of cabin fever already (we’re stuck at home here, other than for emergencies or basic shopping). I’m so looking forward to the new Delta Pearl episode! Take care and keep safe!
