I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I’m a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I’m a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I’ve always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often.
I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links.
My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  1. Charming post, Olga. I feel homesick and I’ve never been there. 🙂
I know how it is when “life” pulls the rug out from under you… Sending love, Light, and huge hugs to you and yours!

Thanks Teagan. Yes, I had a great time and can’t wait to be back and see what’s in store next. Thanks very much and hope your week is also bright and positive.

  2. At a guess you’re back in Barcelona. I can only hope that everything is alright there and not a major crisis that pulled you away.I had high hopes of you deciding to settle in Hay and maybe getting to visit some other parts of my country. I have the kettle on just in case.
Take care Olga. We all hope to have you back soon, safe and happy.

Thanks David. Yes, due to family circumstances I had to come back to Barcelona and things have been a bit up and down since although hope to be able to chance scenery soon if things settle. Yes, I’d love to explore a bit more next time and I maybe we can meet at one of your favourite places…:)

  3. Sounds like you had a wonderful experience…..here’s hoping you’re able to get back to Hay in the not too distant future.

Thanks so much. It was. I’d love to be there for the festival next year although it’s a bit tricky to get accommodation but…:)

  4. Hay is a delightful place and the countryside round it is gorgeous. Olga, whatever it is you wish, I hope that it comes true 🙂

  6. Hello Olga! I’m sorry you were called away from your beautiful stay in Hay-On-Wye. I’ll look forward to more pictures and posts when you return. In the meantime, I hope all is well in Barcelona.

Unfortunately due to family health issues I had to leave Hay but hope to go again and carry on with more adventures (and learning) soon. Thanks Cate. Nice to see you back. 🙂

      1. Thanks Olga. I’m sorry to hear that the trip got cut short. That’s annoying.

Thanks so much Cate. Yes, and the circumstances are not happy ones, but sometimes one has to do… I hope to be back and carry on enjoying Hay in the future.

Thanks Sally. Yes, I look forward to my next visit and I hope to be able to join them for the festival fingers crossed!). I ended up getting a keyboard separate from the laptop one as that one was either too fast or too slow… Still, sometimes the creations out of the keyboards can be interesting 😉

  9. Dear Olga…I wish you all the best!!

Thanks Vera. You’re very kind. And a great artist. I think you’d like it there. There a few nice art galleries too.

      1. Oh, that would be nice if I could see that, Olga, but so you are my “eye”:-) Thank you very much and take good care of yourself! 🙂

  10. What a shame. Me and my partner were just planning a trip up there in Septermber. Afer your post we’re even more keen. Best of luck with everything 🙂 <3

I’m sure you’ll love it. After plenty of people talked to me about it and having waited to go for a while I fell in love. It’s amazing.

Thanks Vera. I also hope one day to see your work live…:)
