I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  1. Thanks for another great review Olga. I tend to like big thick books. 🙂 You’ve certainly made me want to read this one. Have a thriving Thursday. Hugs!

    1. Thanks, Teagan. It is a truly beautiful book. I hope I can catch up on her previous books, or at least on the next ones she publishes. Have a great day!

  2. I shall definitely be reading At the Edge of the Orchard as I have enjoyed reading her other books. Last year or the year before I read Remarkable Creatures about fossil hunter Mary Anning and others; it was sublime and I couldn’t recommend if it more highly. Thank you, Olga.

    1. Thanks, Sarah! I must check it out when I can get a bit of time… It sounds fabulous!

  3. It certainly has a distinguished pedigree, if ‘Pearl earring’ is anything to go by. I have a feeling this will not only do well, but will also appear on the big screen sometime too.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Thanks, Pete. It would make a fabulous movie for sure. There’s action, adventure, fascinating characters, and a very interesting historical period. 🙂
