I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

I’m definitely adding this one too Olga. I do love a good ‘take me away’ kind of book. 🙂

    1. It is a very therapeutic book if you’re having a bad day and a nice read, Debby. Sometimes it’s what we need. 🙂

  2. Sounds like excerpts from life. Seeing that cover and reading your review makes it such a complete item. Like the sunny embrace of whatever life brings. Only what you wrote about the content already touched me. It would be a book for me for sure. This would be a book I am sure I enjoyed reading!

    1. Thanks, Erika. I’ve just found your comment hiding in the spam box. I have no idea why because it’s definitely not spam. It’s a lovely book for those days when things are a bit dark or we just fancy a nice read.

      1. Oh well, that happens at times… don’t know why! Thanks for realising me!! Yes, the book sounded like that. Getting a distance to your daily life a bit!

          1. Thank you and you too, Olga

  3. I like it when the cover of a book gives away not only the style within, but also suggests that feel-good factor of a lighthearted read.
Good luck to Jennifer with her new book. One for everyone, as well as those ex-pats.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Thanks, Pete. It’s a light read, but sometimes it’s what we need. And yes, the cover is perfect. Have a great Wednesday.

  4. This is a lovely review of what sounds like a fun book, Olga.

    1. It is a great little read. A soothing kind of read, Robbie. And nothing scary at all. 🙂

This is my kind of book. I am definitely adding it to my list. Thanks for the recommendation, Olga. Hugs.

    1. I’m sure you’ll love it, Michelle. Thanks and enjoy it!

  6. LOL. I loved your intro for this one, Olga. I’m sold. Huge hugs.

    1. Thanks, Teagan. Well, sharing the reviews so quickly has made me realise I do read a lot of thrillers (and more to come!). But this one is a breath of fresh air. And tomorrow it isn’t a thriller either. Friday… well, sort of, mostly an adventure story…

  7. I might have to download this one for my days at the beach, whenever they come (I never know!). Thanks, Olga – I get a good notion of any book when you review it.

    1. Thanks so much, Noelle. I enjoy your reviews too, although I’m holding on to my reading list for dear life these days! I hope you enjoy it and you have a nice time at the beach (and the next time is sooner than your think!)

Don't be shy! Tell me something!
