I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

Fantastic review Olga. Although I am curious about this book, I’m not into dark stories and graphic violence, but I will go over to Amazon and have a look. 🙂

    1. Thanks, Debby. The author writes beautifully, but his books are not an easy read. In some ways, Baudelaire’s Revenge is more traditional in structure, although the tone is as dark as this one. Have a lovely week.

        1. Thanks for the tips on cruises, dear Debby. I’m taking notes!

Oh, my pleasure Olga. Glad you are enjoying. 🙂

  2. I bought Baudelaire’s Revenge based on your review, though I have yet to read it. 🙂
I suspect I will also be buying this one, for the same reason.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Thanks, Pete. I think with your interest in war subjects, you will find it fascinating. I hope you are well, Pete. I must catch up with your blog but I’ve had a few mad days…

      1. No problem, Olga. All fine here, in sunny 80 degree weather! 🙂
        Best wishes, Pete.

        1. Thanks, Pete. I was in Paris but mostly coming and going to hospital to visit my friend’s husband. He is better now, but it was rather stressful.

I do books about relationships, Olga. This sounds very good.

    1. Thanks, Robbie. Check the sample of the book and see what you think. It is a pretty unique writing style and a fascinating story. Have a great week! (Oh, and I think you will like tomorrow’s book as well)!

  4. Olga, you certainly make it sound intriguing. A fascinating topic. Thanks for this mindful review. Hugs!
