I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  1. Despite my aversion to gore, I do love a good genre mash-up. Terrific review, Olga. Hugs!

    1. Thanks, Teagan. I had read some really impressive reviews for this book, and they were all right. A fabulous novella. I hope you’re doing well with your writing projects and I’m looking forward to reading your new serials. Big hugs.

  2. A most interesting story, Olga. I also only know about the English grave robbers. PS I didn’t like Frankenstein. I found it disappointing. That is the first time I am saying that about a classic.

    1. Thanks, Robbie. I know what you mean. I guess if we look at it from the perspective of the time, it was pretty innovative, but it is not to everybody’s taste and I think we’ve seen so many different versions and adaptations to the movies (and theatre) that it is difficult to reconcile with the book. I think you’ll enjoy this story, though. Nothing to do with Frankenstein, other than some of the subject matter.

  3. I like the sound of this one, Olga. Even though I have never heard a book described as ‘Cosmic historical horror’ before. 🙂
I am adding it to my Amazon list.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. I think you’ll love it, Pete. I hope you’re having a great summer. Sorry I can’t keep up with everything, but life is a bit slow and disconnected here. Take care. Love to Ollie.

      1. Heatwave at the moment, Olga. Ollie is flat out!
        Best wishes, Pete.

        1. Same to you. It’s pretty hot here as well! ♥

  4. I’ve read most of Mike’s books, but I’m a bit behind – this sounds fantastic, Olga.

    1. Thanks, Teri. I think you’ll find it right up your alley. It’s fabulous and I hope to read more about the main character. Have a fabulous week!
