I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often.   6. Great review, Olga. I think books like this are important in unpacking the US’s history (and current day) racism, and the fact that it’s a well written story is all the better. Thanks for sharing your thoughtful insights. Happy Reading.

      Thanks, Diana. You’re right. I studied American Literature and there are many novels and books about the topic, but not all of them are well known today, and it’s important to reach a new generation of readers and include a variety of perspectives. Have a lovely week.
