I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  1. Thank you Olga.

    1. Thanks, Rosie!

  2. This sounds really good, Olga. Maybe I should start with the first one?

    1. Yes, Mary. I’d recommend that. And you’ll have the advantage of being able to carry on with the story straight away. I think you’ll love it. It’s a pretty special place and a pretty special novel. Take care.

  3. Not something I would normally consider reading, but I was indeed captivated by the examples of her writing.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Thanks, Pete. I’m not much of a reader of fantasy, but I’m wondering about her novels in that genre as well, because she sure can write a beautiful description. Keep safe and enjoy the rest of the week, Pete.

  4. This feels like a glowing endorsement, Olga. Many layers to the story. Your review makes it sound better in every way than I would have expected from the title or the cover. It’s wonderful to read when an author builds a world in which we’d like to live. Something I certainly want to read. Hugs on the wing.

    1. Thanks, Teagan. You know I’d be queueing to live in Atonement if it existed, and I think you’d enjoy Little Sister as well. I know you’re very happy visiting other blogs with Lulu, but a break there would be nice for your both (although I suspect Lulu might find it a bit too sedate). Take care and keep well. And good luck with your WIP! ♥

As usual, I’m intrigued by your enticing review Olga. I think I’ll hop over and check out book 1. Thanks for another interesting introduction. Hugs 🙂 xx

    1. Thanks, Debby. I hope you like it. Take care and enjoy the rest of the week. Big virtual hugs!

Thanks my friend. Hugs back! 🙂 xx

  6. Another wonderful review, Olga – and this sounds irresistible. Toni x

    1. Thanks, Toni. It is. I recommend reading the two novels. I was very happy when I heard the author had decided to set another story in Little Island. One of my favourite fictional places, that’s for sure. Enjoy the week and keep safe.
