I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

This is definitely on my reading list Olga. You read such interesting books. Keep safe! Have you had both your vaxes? <3

    1. Thanks, Debby. I’m sure you’ll share the author’s point of view, and feel the same as he does about the main character and his mates. Have you had your two vaccines? I know the vaccine situation seemed to be improving there. Here it is speeding up, and things are a bit calmer. I’ve had the two doses now, the second one about 10 days ago, so I’m hoping to be able to go away for a few weeks next month, to the countryside. Take care, good luck with the move, and stay safe. Thinking of you. ♥

Thanks so much Olga. Yes! I’ve had my 2 doses. I’m moving in less than 2 weeks and my BFF is supposed to come help me from England. She’s double vaxed and still travels home here on her Canadian passport, but until our province decides if they will forego the silly 14 day quarantine for travelers, she won’t be here. The plan is me to fly back with her after to UK, and hoping to visit Spain when I do! <3

        1. That sounds good! Things seem to have slowed down in the UK, and the plan for further opening has been put back for four weeks, due to the delta variant. I hope your friend doesn’t have any issues getting there. We are planning on going away for a few weeks, but we won’t leave Spain. Good luck! ♥

Thanks Olga. So far, she is having problems getting here. I know she won’t be here for my big move next weekend, but hopefully after. She said she can fly out, it’s just that our province here hasn’t lifted quarantine for travelers yet. Waiting for them to lift with double vaxxed visitors. 🙂 We wait. <3

          2. Hopefully, it won’t be too long. Things have got very complicated, and it’s very difficult to make plans, as you well know. I’ll be thinking of you and sending you positive vibes to help the move along. I know you’re a very well-organised person, so if anybody can do it without excessive hassle, it will definitely be you. Good luck!

Thanks for the faith my friend. There will be much to write about. <3

  2. Another great review, Olga – sounds very interesting and also deeply moving. Toni x

    1. Thanks, Toni. It is a book with a big heart, and it doesn’t shy away from some pretty unpleasant truths. I hope it gets the attention it deserves, and lessons are learned from what happened. All the best.
