I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  1. Hi, Olga. I remember your other review for this series. I might be a bit biased when I agree that it’s a fabulous setting. 😉 But it really is. Thanks for your mindful review. I’m most intrigued. Wishing Loretta huge success. Hugs to you both.

    1. Thanks, Teagan. I think of you when I read books in this series because I know how you feel about it, and the more I read about New Mexico and its history, the more fascinated I become. Keep well, stay out of the heat, and I look forward (even if I’ll feel sad as well)to reading the conclusion to The Delta Pearl, and, of course, future journeys in Dead of Winter.

  2. This is a fascinating sounding story, Olga. This post came to my email but for some reason I could not open it. I got a message that it was unavailable. It was find through the Reader though.

    1. Thanks, Robbie. It is a great story, and I’m sure with your interest in history, you’d enjoy the setting as well.
As per the e-mail… I made a mistake and posted the review before it was ready, and then I reprogrammed it for the right time, but, of course, once you’ve pressed the publish button, the notice of publication goes out even if you cancel the post later. I wonder why they don’t include an option where they ask you for confirmation before actually publishing the post, as that would give you a chance to realise that you had clicked the wrong thing. Sorry about the confusion. It seems that once the notice has been sent, they don’t send a second e-mail when it is published again.
Enjoy the rest of the week!
