I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  1. Cinema, History, WW2. Sounds like one for me, Olga. And the writing examples you give are enticing too.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Thanks, Pete. I did think about you when I read about the movie, although it’s not one I’ve ever watched. I do like de Sica, though. Have a great Tuesday.

  2. Olga, I agree completely about the backdrop. It seems like a very strong book. Your review is compelling. Thanks for sharing it. Hugs!

        You too OLga. 🙂

  4. Love the sound of this book, Olga. Historical novels are fascinating and I love WWII.

    1. I think you’ll enjoy this one, Robbie. I know you’re working on a book about WWII and you might enjoy the contrast, although there is a brief mention of London too. ♥

  5. Sounds like a great read!

    1. It sure is, Luccia. Have a great evening!

  6. This sounds like quite the story! Great review of it, Olga.
