I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

I have a soft spot for Regency romances. I have to be in the mood, but sometimes I absolutely adore them. This has a nice, demure cover and sounds interesting.

    1. Thanks, Lilyn. I don’t read many, but I do enjoy them every-so-often. And this one was quite different to the ones I’d come across so far. I have a few more on the list to catch up and keep my brain in the right era for the translation, so there are more to come! Have a lovely holiday season!

A wonderful review as always Olga. Thank you. <3

    1. Thanks, Debby. A nice and short read and very Xmassy as well. Have a lovely week. ♥

        1. Thanks, Debby. I love yours as well!

            And thank you Olga 🙂

  3. This may not be something I would read, but I have to say that ‘Beppie’ is a great name! 🙂
I wish I had been called Beppie, instead of Pete!
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Thanks, Pete. No, I didn’t think this was your kind of book, but there are plenty of interesting ones to come. I must admit that the cover and the name of the author had a definite impact on me as well. I’m not sure I’d go as far as being called Beppie, but I must adopt it as the name for one of my characters. Have a fabulous week!

  4. This is a lovely sounding book, Olga. I haven’t heard anyone mention An Old Fashioned Girl for many years and I haven’t read it since I was a young teenager. Thank you for the reminder I am going to seek it out.

    1. Thanks, Robbie. It was one of my big favourites, together with Little Women, when I was a child. I think you would enjoy this one as well. Have a great weekend, Robbie!

  5. Oh! I almost missed this review. You make it sound like just the thing, Olga. Beppie herself sounds like quite a character for a story. Thanks for taking time to share your thoughts with us. Happy holiday hugs. ⛄ <3

    1. Thanks, Teagan. Yes, I think Beppie would make a great character, for sure. Happy holiday!
