I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

Thanks Olga. Who couldn’t use a feel good story at this time of the world? 🙂

    1. Indeed! I recommend both books by this author. They are very different but they are perfect for the times we live in. And yes, we all need an optimistic story. ♥

  2. Thank you Olga.

    1. Thanks, Rosie. Another great author I’ve discovered thanks to Rosies’s Book Review Team. ♥

  3. I can feel from your review that you liked this one a lot, Olga. I am planning to get a tablet of some sort in the new year, so I can start to read all those Kindle books I have acquired. It sounds as if Rachel is a very accomplished writer indeed, and I might well add her to that collection.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Thanks, Pete. Yes, I have enjoyed both of Rachel’s books enormously. She’s a talented writer, and she manages to create characters one gets to care for. And her books have a heart. The tablet sounds like a great idea, and it makes reading easier (I use the text-to-speech option when I go for walks or exercise and I find it less distracting than audiobooks, that sometimes depend a lot on the style of the narrator. But it does take a bit of time to get used to the lack of inflection although, it’s worth a try. I know you go for long walks with Ollie). I hope you are fully recovered now. All the best. ♥

  4. Thank you, Olga, for such a lovely review and hosting my book today.

    1. It is always a pleasure, Rachel. I look forward to the next one, and you can count of me for reading it and featuring it (if I haven’t been drowned under the mountain of my reading list!). I hope you get the success you deserve. And have a lovely holiday season.

  5. Sounds like a lovely and uplifting read, Olga. I read another review of this book and it was well rated in that review too.

    1. Thanks, Robbie. I am not surprised. I think you would enjoy it. And if you haven’t read Rachel’s previous book, I recommend it as well. I know you have a soft spot for ghost stories… Have a lovely rest of the week, Robbie! ♥

  6. You know I’m all about a feel good story, Olga. A touch of paranormal is icing on the cake. Thanks for letting me know about this one. Best to Rachel.
    Happy holiday hugs!

    1. Thanks, Teagan. I did think about you when I was reading this story. It also has pretty great female characters. And I am sure you’d also enjoy her previous novel. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you. 🙂
