I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  1. I enjoyed your review of Goddess of the Rainbow. I think I would enjoy the book, too!

    1. Thanks very much, Priscilla. It grows on you, for sure. Have a lovely week!

Definitely checking out this book Olga. I do love your discoveries. I enjoy reading books about people. Characters draw me in bigtime.:) xx

    1. Thanks, Debby, you’re very kind. I also love character driven books, and in this case the town becomes a character in its own right. I’m sure in this case it was the author who found me. Good job I said yes to the review!

It’s bookmarked for future purchase on Amazon list 🙂

  3. This sounds like a really interesting writing style, Olga. It has caught my attention.

    1. Thanks, Robbie. I know how much you enjoy tales of everyday life, Robbie, and this one works out pretty well. Have a great week.

  4. Something different is always good, Olga. And it certainly sounds different. 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Thanks, Pete. I hope everything is well with you and your house. I must catch up with your blog. I’ve been having a bit of trouble with my back and don’t seem to manage to do much of anything, but hope to get there soon. Have a good week.

  5. Dear Olga, I’ve missed so many of your posts… I hope you are feeling better now. You continue to have my admiration and even my envy with your ability to read so much, so fast, and retain it all. I’m just not a fast reader.
I enjoyed hearing about this one. You know I like a “feel good” story. Best to Patrick with the book.
Be well, be happy my friend. Huge hugs.

    1. Thanks, Teagan. Don’t worry. I know you have a lot to deal with, and heavy work as well, although I’m sure the end result will be worth it. What a wonderful place! It took a long while, but I’m better now (fingers crossed!) and trying to take it easy and move about a bit more. Thankfully the course I was teaching is over, so I won’t be tied up to the desk so long. I’ve always been a pretty fast reader, but I try to combine listening and reading, that way I can do things as I listen to books as well. Perfect for decorating! Big hugs and all the best. ♥
