I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  1. Many thanks Olga, lovely to have you back with us.

    1. Thanks, Rosie. It was a fairly busy break but the time spent travelling allowed me to catch up on some reading. Lovely to be back in the blogging universe again. 🙂

  2. It’s interesting to read that the author lives in Ealing, as everything about this book sounds like an Ealing comedy from the 1950s. I was imagining Dennis Price, Ian Carmichael, and James Robertson Justice as the characters, despite the setting some years in the future. 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. You are absolutely right! It would fit right in. Nice to catch up again. 🙂

Sounds like a relaxing read, which is always a nice change. Thanks Olga 🙂

    1. Thanks, Debby. Sometimes we need something lighter, for sure, and this is a good book for changing the pace a bit. Very well observed as well for those interested in the UK local politics scene. Have a fabulous week.

        1. 🙂

  4. This does sound entertaining. It is good to take a look at the lighter and more humorous side of politics from time to time.

    1. I agree, Robbie. Here, in Spain, we’re having one election after another, so it seemed like a good antidote… Have a good weekend!

    1. Thanks, Christoph!
