I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  1. Good review. This is such a great idea, history in a graphic book for those of us who are scared of history textbooks.:-)

    1. Thanks, Priscilla. Such a mighty subject that’s been covered so many times is indeed scary, but they have done a fantastic job and the illustrations are breathtaking. Have a fabulous week.

  2. I am reminded of my ‘Illustrated Bible for Children’, a large hardback with comic-book style illustrations. That brought the Biblical stories to life for me as a chid, and made them much easier to understand. I can still recall images from that now.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. I am sure I had a similar one as a child, Pete, and as you say, it works very well. Keep safe.

  3. Interesting concept, a graphic novel about Churchill . . . hmm, yes, I could get into that. 🙂 Great review, Olga, thank you for sharing.

    1. Thanks, Mark. I was surprised when I saw the book but couldn’t resist it, and it’s well worth a read. Great book. Have a fabulous week.

      1. You as well.

        1. 🙂
