I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  1. That’s an original premise. My husband and I buddy-read science fiction books. I’ll have to tell him about this one. It may end up being one of our books!

    1. Yes, I like the cover a lot, and I think you’d enjoy it as well. Look after yourself. ♥

  4. A lovely review, Olga. I am not a big sci-fi fan but this does sound appealing. You are a very versatile reader.

    1. Thanks, Robbie. You also read very widely. For me, a change is as good as a break, as they say! I try to vary my reading, and although there are some genres I don’t feel very drawn to, there are others that I don’t read regularly but where, every so often, I find real gems. I guess science-fiction is a genre that delves into what makes us human (or at least the best novels do) and that’s something I’m always interested in. Chambers writes very well, so I hope I’ll be able to check more of her work in the future. If you fancy a go, this is quite short, so it makes for a nice change. Take care!
