I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  1. I enjoyed the two I’ve read so far by Liza and will add this one to the ever-increasing tbr pile.

    1. I’m sure you’ll love this one, Mary, heartache and all. I know all about huge tbr piles. Unfortunately, I have no wisdom to share on how to keep them under control. Keep well. ♥

  3. This is a period of recent history that warrants further discovery and revelation. It sounds like an excellent fictional account of what happened to so many unfortunate children in my own lifetime.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Thanks, Pete. Yes, it is. We had similar cases here after the Civil War (although in most cases they were “adopted” by families whose political ideas were more attuned to the government of the time), and the full story has yet to be uncovered.
      Keep well.
