I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

    1. Thanks, Pete. And thanks for the link. It looks like a beautiful place (I do like cemeteries) and a memorial to a very interesting woman. I knew a few details about her story (and the book also mentions her kidnapping, later marriage, her visit to England, and her death as well), but had not seen a picture of her grave or visited.
Take care and keep safe. ♥

    1. Thanks and good luck with your blogging!

        1. Well done!

  1. A very interesting review, Olga, I can remember reading a bit about John Smith but I can’t remember where.

    1. Thanks, Robbie. He seems to have been wherever there was war or anything he could turn his hands to, and he didn’t mind going where others wouldn’t or hard work (the same cannot be said for others travelling on those early expeditions).
I hope you are keeping well. Take care and have a good week.

It surely does sound a different read, thanks Olga. I’m back from my mini break, that really wasn’t, lol. I hope you are well 🙂 xx

    1. Thanks, Debby. I hope your mini-break (I guess not a lot of break from your comment) went well. Sometimes a change of rhythm, even if not a real break, can be of benefit.
Yes, we are well. It’s a bit difficult to know how things stand because the situation seems to change minute by minute, but, that’s how things are right now.
Stay safe and it’s good to have you back. 🙂

Thanks so much Olga. It’s crazy here too. Seems the world has escalated with this virus. We can only do our best to stay covered! 🙂 xx

        1. You’re absolutely right, Debby. ♥
