I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  1. This sounds like quite the change of pace I may need at the moment … even though romcoms (or romance, generally) aren‘t my thing at all, and nor is „women‘s fiction“. But this sounds like quite an interesting mix!

    1. Thanks for your comment. It’s good of you to keep in touch. I know what you mean, and I was grateful for the change of pace as well. I checked the look-inside sample of this book and liked what I read, as the main character was quite quirky, and bizarre things started happening very quickly. I thought at first the whole story would be told from the female character’s point of view, but that is not the case, and as the story advances, we get more stories and points of view coming in. Although there are moments of introspection, this isn’t too heavy on the psychology of the characters, but there is enough about them to make them relatable and endearing. It isn’t a demanding read, but that’s just what I was looking for, and I hope it works for you as well if you check it out. Stay safe.

      1. Stay safe as well!

  2. Thank you Olga.

    1. Thanks, Rosie. A fun story and a pretty different reading experience to what I’m used to. Thanks for keeping the team ticking.

  3. Sounds like fun, and an antidote to gloom indeed. Good choice of quotes, Olga.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Thanks, Pete. It worked for me. Take care!

  4. This sounds like a book to relax with and lighten up. We all need to laugh more. Thanks, Olga, for bringing this book to our attention.<3

    1. Thanks, Carol. I agree. A good chuckle makes everything better. Keep well.

  5. Olga, thank you. This sounds like a blast — an antidote indeed. It sounds like there is plenty of variety in the styles of humor, not something that would get stale a couple of chapters into the story. Hugs on the wing.

    1. Thanks, Teagan. I think you’d appreciate the variety and the whimsy in this novel. Very colourful. Stay safe. ♥

  6. This sounds like a great humorous book, Olga. A nice change of pace. It feels as if everyone has a pandemic handover now.

    1. Thanks, Robbie. I know what you mean. Here, things seemed to be going better and then took a turn for the worse again. I think we still have a way to go… Take care.
