I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  2. Always a delight to read a review from you that shows just how much you enjoyed a book. This does indeed seem to be something special, and the excerpts show how well-written it is.

Wonderful and honest review as always Olga. I agree with you, there is always a danger or a sadness in fairytales too. I thought you were on vacation? Maybe I’m still losing track of time. <3

    1. Thanks, Debby. There is plenty of everything in fairy tales, especially in the classic ones, and different versions tend to reflect the times they were written in. It seems I’ve been talking about this vacation for far too long, but these things everything is a bit more complicated to organise. No, I’m leaving next week, but I’ll share a post on Monday, so people don’t worry unnecessarily if I disappear for a while. I hope the move went well, and you’re settling in slowly. I know you’re not moving too far away, but it takes time to adjust, especially when it’s such a big change. Big hugs and stay strong. ♥

Thanks for the update Olga. I know all about trying to make plans in Covid 🙁 Enjoy your holiday. And when I get the strength, I’ll write about my horrendous move, lol. Still looking at boxes. <3

        1. Thanks, Debby, and take it easy. You’ve made it, and that’s quite an achievement. Slowly does it. Stay safe.
