  1. I’ve been following this serial too. I agree, Teagan writes vivid descriptions and gives the reader moments of high emotion. It’s a creative story and a fun read. Good review, Olga!

    1. Thanks, Priscilla. I’ve read your reviews as well, and I know we’re both eager to see what happens next. Good luck with all your projects!

    2. Thank you kindly, Priscilla. I’m delighted that you are part of these Journeys. Hugs on the wing!

  2. Hooray for the lovely Teagan, and her incredibly inventive writing! Hugs on both wings to her!
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Thanks, Pete! Big hugs to you all!

    2. You are so kind, Pete — thank you. Happy November. Hugs winging back to you.

  3. (Shakes head in amazement…) Olga, you are amazing. I will be on cloud nine from your reviews forever. Thank you for the expert way you bring out elements of the story without revealing any of my intended surprises. I understand the craftmanship in what you’ve done. I’m truly honored that you are part of these Journeys.
I can’t find a way to actually reblog, but I will share this at my place tomorrow.
Although I might not get any sleep — because my glowing will keep me awake all night. 🙂 Hugs on the wing!

    1. Thanks, Teagan. I hope you get a good night’s sleep, though!
You know how much I love being a part of the journey. I know we are many following along, and it can be a bit tricky to read the reviews that come out before we have had a chance to catch up, but all your followers are very clever that way, so I’m always eager to read their insights.
Because my blog is on WordPress.org, there is no reblog button. I think the Press this might be an option but it isn’t the same.
I am already looking forward to Journey 11 and to the next episode of the Armadillo Files.
Stay safe, and I hope November is good for you.

  4. Thanks for these great reviews, Olga. Nov/Dec are short story and poetry reading months for me and these are on my list.

    1. Thanks, Robbie. You are so well organised! November and December should be great months, then, although I know you enjoy reading a wide variety of genres and have plenty of activities to keep you busy. Stay safe and all the best for you and your family.

    2. Robbie, I’m so happy that you are part of the Journeys. Whenever you get to them, I hope you love them. Take good care of you. Hugs on the wing.

  5. Wonderful review. You recalled incidents that I had forgotten (which is prompting me to re-read the last Journey. I agree with your summation of the the character who died. I had anticipated two possible characters and was very pleased that it was this one and not that passed on. Great job!

    1. Thanks, Pat. I know what you mean, and there were a couple of other characters I was quite worried about as well, but Teagan managed to make it work for everybody involved, and it wasn’t quite as traumatic as it could have been. Stay well and keep smiling!

      1. Wishing you the same, Olga.

    2. I know there’s a lot to keep track of, Pat. I hope you re-enjoy it the second time around. Hugs on the wing.

      1. It’s something to make the story fresh on my mind while awaiting the hopefully soon publication of Journey 11 where we can learn about that stunning white dress. Hugs boomeranging your way.

  6. Terrific reviews, Olga. Thanks for sharing them. Congratulations to Teagan.

    1. Thanks, John. Teagan’s talents never cease to amaze me. Enjoy the rest of the week.

      1. She is very talented for sure, Olga.

    2. Thank you kindly, John. Have a wonderful rest of the week. Hugs on the wing.

    3. Thank you kindly, John. Have a wonderful rest of the week. Hugs on the wing.

  7. Congratulations to Teagan on these wonderful reviews. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Olga.

    1. Thanks, Staci. Enjoy the rest of the week!

  8. Fabulous reviews, Olga! I am on Emlyn’s Journey, but not quite up to 9 & 10 yet, so only skimmed your reviews as I didn’t want to know anything that’s coming. 🙂 Teagan is such an amazing fantasy writer!

    1. Thanks, Jan. I also try to avoid reading detailed reviews before I have read the journeys. I try to avoid spoilers, but people who are very attuned to the story might easily guess from a few clues. Enjoy the week!

    2. Thanks very much, Jan. The most amazing thing about Olga’s reviews is that she manages to provide so much insight without revealing anything that I mean to be a “surprise” to the reader.
I’m very happy that you are part of these Journeys. Hugs on the wing.

  9. , ” Geneviene manages to combine a weird, wonderful, scary, terrible, and beautiful world, with different realms and with a cast of characters that although not always “human” and/or “alive” we can easily connect with.” WELL SAID, Olga! High praise from an illustrious book reviewer such as yourself, and congratulations to Teagan on another stellar accomplishment!

    1. Thanks so much, Claire. You singled out what is my all-time favorite quote from Olga. I’m thrilled. Thanks for visiting. Hugs on the wing.

      1. So impressed with you, Teagan! Your creative fountain runneth over!

    2. Thanks, Claire. You’re very kind. Teagan has skills that both, jugglers and magicians, would be delighted to have. Enjoy the week and keep smiling (and writing your wonderful stories as well, of course)!

  10. This is a great review, Olga and it is especially interesting for me because I don’t normally read fantasy of any kind. On the other hand, I learned long ago that I usually enjoy everything Teagan writes. I stopped adding “I don’t normally read…” to my comments on her blog because, I consider her writing its own little genre. I guess I am a reader of “Teagan.”

I have all 10 Journeys, but I got very busy and I haven’t yet finished Number 10. I need to fix that.

    1. Dan, what a wonderful thing to say. You are so very kind.
Don’t rush for Journey 10. Number 11 needed intensive reorganizing to make it flow for this serialization. Plus I’m adding a good deal of new material. In other words — it won’t be published this week.
Take good care of you. Hugs on the wing.

      1. Thanks Teagan. I never rush through books. I like to enjoy them, and yours are easy to enjoy.

    2. Thanks, Dan. I agree. I think reading Teagan is a genre in its own right, and I will follow her wherever she goes as well. I was going to say Journey 10 is a good one, but there isn’t a bad one in the lot. Stay safe.

  11. Wonderful reviews, Olga! Teagan’s imagination is incredible. I’m reading Dead of Winter more slowly than she is writing, but I’m enjoying the journey. Thanks for sharing!
    ~Lauren

    1. Thanks, Lauren. I was reading each Journey soon after she published them, but then I had a bit of a backlog of other things and decided to read several in one go, but I find it difficult to put off reading them for very long. They are a delight and should be savoured, I agree. Keep safe and enjoy the rest of the week.

    2. Thank you kindly, Lauren. Realizing how busy modern lives are has really validated my decision to revise this epic into novelettes. Happily it’s a “journey” that each can take at their own pace. I appreciate your support. Hugs on the wing!

  12. Resa says:

    Fab review, Olga!
I’ve read 3, at this point. I was completely fascinated. I was getting them on Kobo, but Teagan isn’t selling there anymore.
I agree enthusiastically about Teagan’s writing. She’s amazing! I always look forward to her Saturday serial!

      1. Resa says:

        {{{hugs}}}

    1. I hope you can get hold of the rest soon, Resa. As you well know, they are fabulous. I also enjoy her blog serials, and I am sure there will be plenty more to come. Stay well and thanks for commenting! 🙂

      1. Resa says:

        You stay well, too!
Hopefully I will gain access to more episodes!

  13. A wonderful review, Olga – these sound like a wild thrill ride. Toni x

    1. They sure are! Thanks, Toni, and have a fabulous week!

    2. Thanks for visiting, Toni. Olga’s reviews put me on cloud nine. Hugs on the wing!

  14. Wonderful reviews, Olga – congrats to Teagan! I can’t wait to start this series.

    1. Thanks, Teri. You’ll have a great time! Take care and good luck with everything!

    2. Thank you kindly, Teri. I hope you’re getting rested up after a fabulous Bad Moon Rising. Hugs on the wing!
