I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  3. Looks like another good one from an author fast establishing himself as an Olga favourite.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  5. HI Olga, this sounds like a lovely book. I like descriptions of food although the emotional aspects do sound hard.

    1. Thanks, Robbie. Yes, Andrew Cotto writes beautifully about cooking and creates compelling characters, but this story is quite personal. You would probably enjoy his novels, and one of his stories centered around food was on Rosie’s list a while back. Stay safe and take care.

  6. This sounds fantastic – another great review, Olga. Toni x

    1. Thanks, Toni. It came at the right time, and I really enjoyed it. Stay well.

  7. Olga… I think the Time Manatees must have hijacked my brain. I don’t know how I missed this. I knew I was behind, but not this much. Anyhow, this sounds great. Yes, I remember you talking about this author before. I’m glad to see another offering from him. Hugs on the wing!

  8. My comment didn’t show up, although I’m very late. Trying one more via a different browser, just to let you know I enjoyed this. Hugs.

    1. Thanks, Teagan. Don’t worry. The comment did show up. I think that due to the site checks to avoid spam, it takes a while for the comments to appear. I also find it very difficult to keep up with everything, especially because there are so many things going on at the moment… Stay safe and take care. And thanks for commenting!
