I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  1. How very frustrating, Olga. I do use Google Chrome because I’ve had problems with WordPress when using Safari. It’s a problem both WordPress and Apple don’t seem to know anything about, so I know how frustrated you have felt yesterday when getting those messages about your blog. Anyway, good to hear it’s all sorted now.
Hope all is well with you?

    1. Thanks, Hugh. I’m fine, although just came back to the UK and I’ve had a very busy week trying to sort things out (still much to do) and settle for a few weeks (perhaps). To make it even more confusing, the Hosting company, Site Ground, who’re very good, didn’t experience the same problem when checking the site, so it was difficult for them to do something. But hey, here we are. I hope you’re well too. Are you coming to Manchester?

      1. Afraid not, Olga. But, I will be at Llandelio on December 10th, as that is where I am planning on launching the book. I hope you have a great time at the Manchester Book Fair. Looks like it’s going to be quite a large event.

        1. Best of luck! Of course count on me for spreading the word. How exciting! I don’t know where I’ll be in December but if I can I’ll come to give a hand Not sure I have the stamina for the Manchester one, but I’ll start training. 😉

          1. Thanks, Olga. Once all the work is finished, on putting the book together, I’ll be publishing quite a lot about it on my blog. Other than a one-off post this coming Monday, I’m still not sure when I’ll be back to writing on my blog. Hopefully, by the end of the Summer. There seem to be quite a few bloggers taking a Summer break.

          2. We’ll all be waiting. Yes. I think people are on their holidays both, readers and writers (and many who are both). I might have to get involved in a project that won’t leave me a lot of time for online presence either, but I won’t know until next week.

          3. Good luck with it if it comes your way, Olga.

          4. Thanks, Hugh. I doubt it but I’ll keep you posted. And don’t hesitate and get in touch when you have news about your book (sometimes I can’t see for looking!)

  2. Very glad it is all sorted now, Olga. Have a relaxing weekend.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Thanks, Pete. It’s been confusing to say the least. 🙂

  4. Hey, you’re back! lol – I mean, it is good that my computer had ceased trying to protect me from you. Cheers

    1. Thanks Annette. Mine was also telling me I wasn’t really me! Perhaps that’s the argument for a story…

  5. Ha! And a Twilight Zone-ish story at that! My Saturday wasn’t any better than my Friday — all the way up to these last hours. Here’s to Sunday. Cheers & hugs

    1. Indeed. Yesterday I tried for low-key approach to the day and at least it was sunny. Today I had another technological scare but now I’m trying to keep my fingers crossed for the rest of the day (when I’m not typing!). Take care!

  6. I had problems with Chrome that day too. So frustrating. Lovely books, must read.

    1. Thanks, Inese. Yes, it was a memorable day for all the wrong reasons in my case. I hope you enjoy the books and things go well. 🙂

      1. Today and tomorrow are the most hectic days, I think I won’t sleep tonight at all, because I have to finish some assignments before I leave 🙁

        1. Fingers crossed. I’ll be thinking of you. Hugs.

          1. Thank you Olga. Hugs!
