I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

    1. Thanks, Janet. I’m back in Spain, although no emergencies this time (fingers crossed!). I don’t even dare to check my reading list any longer. It’s beyond scary. Thanks for the hummingbirds and take care!

  3. Here, here. The Story Reading Ape is one of the blogging world’s best, Olga.

  4. Thanks for this great post. As you say, Chris does wonderful work in selflessly promoting authors. I look forward to reading “My Vibrating Vertebrae”. Regards. Kevin

  6. I have had ‘likes’ from the SRA before. The book of his Mother’s life sounds interesting. I hope that you manage to pry some equally good stories from your Mum too!
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Thanks, Pete. He’s great at finding great blogs and sharing them with everybody. So far I’ve been inundated with work but we’ll get there. Have a great weekend!

    1. Thanks, Sarah. It was long overdue!

  8. If the title isn’t enough to get you, then I don’t know what would. 😀 I have this one, Olga. I blush to admit, but I’m usually not much of a poetry fan — however, I really enjoyed this one. I think a large part of that due to the work Chris and Lorna did in putting it together. They did a marvelous job. Mega hugs all around.

    1. I’ll blush with you. I don’t read near enough poetry either. I’m pleased you enjoyed it. It’s a great homage. Take care and have a great weekend.

  9. Chris sounds like a good person to know! Thanks for the excellent introduction! 🙂

    1. Thanks, Lorna. He’s a champ for sure. I’m sure you’ll love him. You should be in his Hall of Fame!
