I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  1. Can’t wait to read this new genre from Christoph 🙂 (PS WordPress won’t let me comment anywhere, I’ve signed in here with Google, so I probably won’t get a notification if you respond :()

    1. How weird! I mean about the comment, not about Christoph’s book. Yes, I know it’s a labour of love and long in the coming and the characters sound delightful. And the setting. (I haven’t been getting notifications on all the posts I subscribe either. I suspect some kind of change might be on the way). Not long to go for the novel!

  2. Good morning Olga….This does sound intriguing…the Welsh connection…wrong side of fifty…etc….and I do love a good mystery and so will probably add to my list of books to read. I have come to the conclusion that I don’t need to read loads of other reviews…you give me so much and keep my ‘to read’ list topped up all the time. Hope you enjoy a lovely weekend…janet. :)x

    1. Thanks, Janet. I hope your weekend is great too. Christoph Fischer is always a safe bet in my experience. He’s expanding into more and more genres (I know the feeling) but he’s consistently good. If I had the time to read all the books that authors try to get me to review nobody could keep up. Unfortunately, there aren’t enough hours in the day.

  3. Good luck to Christoph with this new book. I have purchased two of his books on Kindle, based on your recommendations, and he is an excellent writer with a real flair for story-telling.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Thanks, Pete. Yes, he is, and he is able to cross over into different genres too, not a mean feat. Have a lovely weekend, Pete.

  4. Since it’s by Christoph, it’s already on my list!

      Excellent! Thanks, Sarah!

  5. I’ve been intrigued and looking forward to this book from the first moment Christoph mentioned it. What a great little “to me – from me” to celebrate the equinox. Good luck to Chirstoph.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend, Olga. Huge hugs all around.

    1. I agree with you. A great present. Have a wonderful weekend

  6. Hello Olga! Thank you for the new book feature. Congrats to Christof! The book title is very intriguing.

    1. Thanks, Vashti. Having read some of Christoph’s books before, I’m sure it will be a terrific read too. 🙂
