#MerryChristmas Thank you for reading and enjoy a wonderful holiday season!

Hi, all!

Incredibly, another year has gone by and it’s Christmas again.

A Christmas Tree, more or less

I don’t know how your year has been. Mine has been… trying, to say the least, but hey, there’s another one around the corner. And so I wish you a fabulous time if you celebrate it. Enjoy it, don’t get stressed (it’s not an exam), and live the moment.

The nativity in Plaça Sant Jaume (St James’s Square) in Barcelona is a bit special this year

If you don’t celebrate it, I hope you have a quiet time and survive the upheaval as best you can. Reading always helps.

I wanted to thank you for reading, for sharing and for being around all this time and for all your support. I have a new book coming out next week, and then I hope to take a bit of time to reevaluate the blog (yes, New Year calls for that kind of thing). In the meantime, do enjoy!

Merry Christmas, my dear friends!

I was born in Barcelona and after living in the UK for many years have now returned home. I teach English, volunteer at Sants 3 Ràdio, a local radio station, I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often.
I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links.
My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

Thanks so much, Robbie. Still sharing some next week (and I have some more coming… I seem to have fallen off the waggon sharing). I hope you have a great Xmas and a new year full of chocolate and wonder. ♥

Dear Olga, thank *you* — for your constant support, sharing, and encouragement. I realize you’ve been considering what to do about your blog and books for a while now. (I understand, because I face the same internal questions.) I enjoy both, so naturally I selfishly hope for both your blog and your books to continue in the future. However, you have to do what works for you — or that’s my opinion anyway. I hope you will do whatever brings you joy and/or satisfaction.
To me it has been an experiment. So I didn’t put any money and very little time into marketing. It’s no surprise that my books don’t sell. But the writing and publishing process brings me satisfaction. The blog brings me both happiness and satisfaction. Although I’m considering dropping back from weekly posts to perhaps monthly…

Merry Christmas to you and yours. May 2017 bring everything you want. Happy holiday hugs.

We have had some trying times in 2016, to say the least. However, it is always a pleasure to see your posts appear, and to read you reviews, listen to your radio broadcasts, or to see your photos of Spain. Looking forward to another year of blogging friendship in 2017.

Thanks so much, Pete. Catching up with your stories, your trips and walks with Ollie, and your photographs (all things I either haven’t had time to do, or, like in the case of the photographs, have no talent for) is one of the highlights of my week. The blogosphere is one of the few places where there is always something positive and inspiring (even with our individuals up and downs). Gràcies! And Happy 2017!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, Olga. I’m spending a rare Christmas in Ontario enjoying the snow. I look forward to our continuing connection next year. Cheers.

Thanks, JP (Jo Anne). It sounds delightful. Yes, I’ll be here after a bit of a break and always happy to share good news! Happy Year 2017!
