I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  1. What a massive list of accolades! I enjoyed your review, Olga.
Going on my own limited personal experience, I have to agree with your take on Milly’s “too rational” behavior being accurate. I’m very intrigued by your review. Just not so sure it would be a good thing for me to read… Still… Quite intrigued. Hugs.

    1. Thanks, Teagan. It has, indeed, garnered many good comments. It’s not an easy read (even if it’s not terribly explicit as I say) but it’s very creepy nonetheless. I can imagine it would make a fabulous movie or TV series but they’d have to find a fabulous young actress to play the part (although it wouldn’t be impossible, I’m sure). Have a great Wednesday.

  2. I enjoyed your review but I think this is a book whcih would keep me awake at night!

    1. Thanks, Mary. It’s definitely not something I’d recommend to somebody who wants a peaceful and calming read. 🙂

  3. I can already see the film poster, Olga. This has ‘big box office’ written all over it.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Yes. I was thinking of you when I made the comment about the movie. It could make a fabulous movie if they choose the right cast, for sure. 🙂

    1. Believe me, Sarah, it is!
