I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

  1. Thank you for this review, Olga. Another great book for my mother and my aunt. They love murder mysteries (I am a wimp and only read fell good books).

    1. Thanks, Robbie. Then this one is surely not for you. Have a lovely week.

  2. This sounds like it is following in the path of many similar (and very popular) books in the genre, and I have a feeling it will sell well, spawn many more in a series, and possibly become a film franchise too. I have read a few books like this myself over the years, but none ever came close to this classic, from 1978.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Thanks, Pete. I agree with your judgment and your recommendation sounds amazing. I’ll keep my eyes open for it, as it is not available in e-book format (and it will give me a good excuse to check second-hand bookshops).
      Have a great week!

  3. I never know what to say when a book’s not up my street! I’m sure mystery fans will love it.

    1. Thanks, Sarah. If they like strong emotions and gore… I hope you have a great week. Not sure tomorrow’s book will be to your taste, but it is a great book. And have one coming up later that I think you’ll definitely enjoy. 🙂

    1. Thanks, Sally. Quite a good example of the genre, but not for squeamish readers. Have a great Tuesday.
