I was born in Barcelona and have lived in the UK for many years now. I'm a writer, translator (English-Spanish and vice-versa) and I'm a medical doctor and worked in Forensic Psychiatry many years. I also have a BA and a PhD in American Literature and Film, and a Masters in Criminology. I've always loved books and apart from writing them I review them often. I write a bit of everything, check my books for more information and my about page for links. My blog is bilingual, English and Spanish.

Two great reviews Olga. And I especially enjoyed Kieran’s bio. 😉

    1. Thanks, Debby. Yes, it’s a great way to introduce yourself (and it’s quite relevant to the story, at least some aspects of it). Have a great week!

Thanks Olga. Happy week to you too. 🙂

        1. 🙂

  2. Both of these books sounds enjoyable, Olga. I would tend towards the first one mentioned first. Have a great Monday.

    1. Thanks, Robbie. Happy week. The second one is quirkier although I loved the setting of the first.

  3. I read a review of that second book on another site. The names in these books make me laugh out loud. “The Eight Baron of Wikshire”. Just hilarious. They are obviously not for me, but I wish both ladies well, and I am sure they will be successful with these new titles. I just see such books as the modern incarnation of Barbara Cartland, to be frank. But she sold millions of books, so what do I know? 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Thanks, Pete. They are very popular indeed. And you are right about Barbara Cartland. There are, of course, Spanish equivalents to Harlequin and the like. I’ve never read any Barbara Cartland, but these ones are well written, although, yes, well, you’ve read the reviews. I know you wouldn’t go for either, but there are a few you might find interesting coming up. Have a good week.

  4. A pair of romance stories. The joint review works, Olga.
So many people have pushed me to write romance books. I guess it shows how little my friends know me. My usual response is that I write fantasy because it seems more likely than romance! 🙂
Thanks for these very mindful reviews. It’s good to know what expectations to have before investing my time in a book. A “light fun read,” is always welcome. Have a wonderful week. Hugs.

    1. Thanks, Teagan. To be honest, I wasn’t sure about posting them, but I know many people enjoy these books and they work well when we need something light. I know what you mean about writing romance. Even my romances are about other things… I agree. Have a great week.
